Hong Kong Disneyland is expensive. Enough said. With admission ticket prices of HKD589 (SGD 105), it is almost 50% more expensive than Hong Kong Ocean Park and Universal Studios Singapore. Unlike the other 2 attractions, Hong Kong Disneyland ticket prices are quite sticky and it is hard to find a substantial discount. That is why you have to save money through other ways.

The NEW Awana Skyway @ Genting Highlands
In 2014, the old Awana Skyway closes after 40 years in operation. This is replaced by the new Awana Skyway which opened in December 2016. I had the privilege of experiencing this cable car just less than 1 month after it opened, and I think it a good step-up not just from the old Awana Skyway, but the existing Genting Skyway as well!

Iron Man Experience @ Hong Kong Disneyland & Update 2017
It is almost 5 years since Hong Kong Disneyland got it's last expansion: Mystic Manor. Iron Man Experience new themed area that opened in Hong Kong Disneyland in May 2017. It comprises of a motion simulator ride and a walk through attraction called Stark Expo. This attraction is made possible after Disney acquired Marvel in 2009.

Yunnan Nationalities Village 云南民族村 is a theme park style attraction that showcases the diverse culture and ethnic minorities in Yunnan. You can think of it as Disney's Epcot that focuses on just ethnic minorities in one province - without all the rides and fanciful gimmicks. For new visitors to Yunnan, it provides an excellent summary of the various ethnic minorities that stay within this province of China.

Yunnan: Shilin Stone Forest 石林
What happens when you try to turn beautiful natural landscapes into a mass-tourist attraction? The result is stone forest 石林 located in Yunnan, China. This majestic landscape attraction showcases the best of karst landscape in the province while having all the amenities (and prices) that tourists can wish for. Oh yes, 石林 (shilin) is also a AAAAA grade attraction in China and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
