USS Christmas 2015: Santa's All Star Christmas

Every year, Universal Studios Singapore transforms itself into a winter wonderland. with beautiful decorations, Christmas themed shows and, of course, fireworks. 2015 is no exception. In conjunction with RWS 5th anniversary, the 2015 USS Christmas event is bigger, grander and more exciting than ever before. In fact, there are not 2, but 3 Christmas themed shows this year, and I must say that the quality of the shows have improved noticeably from 2014.

Riding Battlestar Galactica: CYLON for the very first time!

Brothers and sisters, let me begin by saying that I have never taken any upside down ride before. So, this post can be quite useful for those of you taking upside down roller coasters for the first time. For the rest of you, I will cover in detail the experience of Battlestar Galactica: Cylon, possibly the most intense ride at USS (some people, including at least one RWS staff tell me Human is scarier).

USS Halloween Horror Nights 2015 Decorations is UP!

Hi guys, I stopped by again at USS a couple of days back, and guess what I saw? New York City is being transformed into a giant contaminated city with dead birds. Of course, RWS is never shy about the fact that all these are in preparation for Halloween Horror Nights 2015, one of the largest Halloween Events in Singapore!

Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey: USS new Roller Coaster

Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey opened last Wednesday, 8 April, as the sixth roller coaster in Universal Studios Singapore (USS). In true Universal style, this new ride has good landscaping and a distinct storyline. As a guest, you are enrolled by Puss and Kitty to search for hidden treasurers, while evading, of all things, a giant duck!!??

SEA Aquarium Trip Report

I visited SEA Aquarium as part of my company's family day outing. This relatively new attraction was awarded one of the top 10 Aquariums in Asia by TTG Travel Awards and used to boast the world's largest acrylic viewing panel, verified by Guinness Book of Records. I must say that among the aquariums I visited so far (Hong Kong Ocean Park, Underwater World, KLCC Aquaria), SEA Aquarium at RWS has the best atmosphere and the most comprehensive collection of marine life. Entry to Maritime Experiential Museum is included in the $38 admission ticket.

Analysis of RWS Invites Attraction Pass

Since September, Resorts World Sentosa replaced its annual pass with a new RWS Invites Attractions pass to its 3 main attractions - SEA Aquarium, Universal Studios Singapore and Adventure Cove Waterpark. RWS Invites Attractions basically seeks to combine the existing annual passes and RWS Invites into a single package. Because of this change, RWS no longer offers standard annual passes to all 3 attractions, though standard 6 month Season Passes are still offered.

How to save 2 HOURS of queue time in USS

Queuing is an integral part of the theme park experience. On average, a typical visitor spends about 4 hours of each visit waiting in line, and this number quickly grows on peak days. Universal Studios Singapore (USS) attracts about 10,000 visitors a day, which places it as one of the top 20 theme parks in Asia. This, unfortunately, also means long lines.
