Images of Singapore LIVE Trip Report

In 2014, the classic attraction Images of Singapore was revamped into Images of Singapore Live. This development takes place concurrently with the opening of the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, and features more live actors and digital media presentations. I must admit, though, that the new version lost a lot of its old charm. May you be the judge of whether the new Images of Singapore Live is better than the old one.

USS Christmas Update 1 December 2014

I remember, in the old days, when everyone swarmed to Orchard Road when it was Christmas Season. Now in 2014, there are so many alternatives, from Christmas at Garden's by the Bay to Sentosa's Playcation. However, Christmas at Santa's Land at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) is one of the best holiday events in the country.

At USS Christmas 2014, snow will fall in New York street every hour, and you will get to meet dozens of Christmas characters like Elf and Candy Cane, the Toy Soldiers and, of course, Santa himself. Decoration is well done and even better at night, so I suggest you make full use of the extended operating hours till 9pm. So lets call "Ho Ho Ho" at USS Christmas 2014!

Farms in Singapore @ Kranji Countryside

Kranji Countryside is one of six farming clusters in Singapore, otherwise known as Agro-Parks. Spanning the Upper Kranji and Lim Chu Kang areas, Kranji Countryside is known as the last Kampung (malay for village) of mainland Singapore. This trip is part of an event which involved youth bringing seniors out to visit the farms.

SEA Aquarium Trip Report

I visited SEA Aquarium as part of my company's family day outing. This relatively new attraction was awarded one of the top 10 Aquariums in Asia by TTG Travel Awards and used to boast the world's largest acrylic viewing panel, verified by Guinness Book of Records. I must say that among the aquariums I visited so far (Hong Kong Ocean Park, Underwater World, KLCC Aquaria), SEA Aquarium at RWS has the best atmosphere and the most comprehensive collection of marine life. Entry to Maritime Experiential Museum is included in the $38 admission ticket.
